Kimi Walker received her Education Specialist degree in School Psychology from Florida A&M University. Ms. Walker is currently a practicing school psychologist who primarily serves children and adults ages 2 through 21. Her areas of interest are psycho-educational testing, early childhood development, infant-toddler mental health, ADHD, executive functioning, behavior modification, gifted/high ability, learning disabilities, academic performance issues, college/vocational planning, advocacy, and developmental disabilities including Autism Spectrum Disorder. Ms. Walker is interested in helping parents, students, and adults in a variety of settings with their educational, vocational, and assessment needs. She is a member of the National Association of School Psychologists and the Indiana Association of Infant- Toddler Mental Health.

Independent Education Evaluations (IEE)

When you need a second opinion or an objective assessment of your child’s educational needs, an Independent Education Evaluation (IEE) can provide the clarity and insight you’re looking for. We offer IEEs that are thorough, unbiased, and focused on your child’s best interests.
  • Comprehensive Assessment: We conduct an in-depth evaluation of your child’s cognitive, academic, and emotional functioning, using a variety of standardized tests and assessment tools. Our goal is to provide a holistic understanding of your child’s strengths and challenges.
  • Objective Insights: As an independent evaluator, we provide an impartial perspective that can be essential when there are disagreements or uncertainties about your child’s needs. Our assessments are not influenced by school district policies, ensuring that your child’s educational plan is based solely on their unique needs.
  • Detailed Reports: After the evaluation, you will receive a comprehensive report that includes clear explanations of the findings, as well as practical recommendations. This report can be used to support requests for services, accommodations, or modifications in your child’s education plan.
  • Collaboration and Advocacy: We work closely with parents, schools, and other professionals to ensure that the evaluation results are understood and appropriately applied. If needed, we can also attend IEP or 504 Plan meetings to advocate for your child based on the findings of the IEE.
